Throughout my career I have worked with children, adolescents, and families, in the classroom and therapy setting, both as a teacher and as a therapist. My work as a clinician has continued to involve the same population in various settings including residential, day treatment, in-home, as well as school based services. I enjoy helping individuals and families find strategies and more effective communication strategies to work through concerns ranging from behavioral problems (school/home), anxiety, anger management, social skills, trauma, attachment, abuse and neglect, as well as learning problems.
I work from a trauma informed, person centered approach, believing that early interactions and experiences help shape how we understand and navigate our world. Building a strong collaborative relationship, and utilizing both Cognitive Behavioral and play based therapy techniques, I strive to foster meaningful and lasting change for children and families through our work together.
