Art therapy

Art therapists provide the psychotherapeutic engagement with art materials to further the emotional, cognitive, social, mental health, and physical needs of the hospitalized patient. Sessions provide verbal and non-verbal methods of processing and validating the patient and family’s medical experience.

Reasons to consult the Art Therapist

  • Depression, anxiety, or difficulty coping
  • Non-pharmacological pain management
  • Trauma
  • Changes to body
  • Sibling and/or parent support (including NICU caregivers)
  • End of life

Ages: 3 years to Adult
Days Offered: Monday through Friday
