Our patient care unit in the hospital incorporates many innovative features to better patient care, including high-definition long-term camera monitoring, patient lifts for rehabilitation, an epilepsy monitoring unit with state-of-the-art neuromonitoring capabilities, and a rehabilitation gym.
- Superior monitoring capabilities
In addition to our state-of-the-art neuromonitoring capabilities within the neurosciences inpatient unit, we also are able to monitor patients directly from our NICU and PICU. In addition, we offer ambulatory EEG monitoring as an option for some of our patients, which provides convenience for patients and families and allows patients to continue near-normal activity during testing.

The epilepsy program at Children’s Hospital is recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a Level 4 epilepsy center, which is the only Level 4 pediatric epilepsy center in the state of Wisconsin. Our Level 4 designation means we provide the highest level of complex and specialized care for children living with epilepsy.
