River Glen Pediatrics carries with it the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin name. That means you can take comfort in knowing your child’s doctor is affiliated with one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation. Our pediatricians will connect you directly with the best available doctor if your child ever needs to see a specialist at the main hospital. And best of all, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin specialists will keep your River Glen primary care doctor updated on any tests, diagnoses or treatments.

Appointments

Visits are by appointment only. Please try to schedule well-child visits and checkups at least two weeks in advance to obtain your desired time. We understand sick children may need to be seen immediately and same day appointments are available.

To schedule an appointment, please call our office or use our online form

Calling us

Our clinic staff members are available to answer general questions throughout the day and urgent phone calls are returned promptly by a nurse or physician.

Triage nurses

Our triage nurses are able to give advice and medical direction following the protocol of our physicians. They will assess the severity of your child’s symptoms and guide you to the best possible care. Please have all relevant information available when talking with a triage nurse.

After hours

After-hours phone calls are directed to our answering service and are handled by one of our on-call physicians. For emergencies, please call 9-1-1 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.

Medication refills

Please ask your pharmacy to fax a medication refill request to River Glen Pediatrics at (414) 247-1875. Many prescriptions cannot be called in to the pharmacy and will need to be picked up. Please allow 24 hours for any pick-ups. Please note that our physicians do not prescribe antibiotics by phone.

Billing and insurance

We work with many different insurance companies. In most cases, we can file your claim for you. In order to provide this service, we will need a copy of your insurance card. Please bring your insurance card to every visit.

If your insurance plan requires a co-payment, it must be paid at the time of service to avoid any additional fees.

Hospital care

Children in need of hospitalization may be admitted to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Those with minor injuries or problems may be referred to one of our urgent care locations or to local emergency rooms. River Glen Pediatrics doctors also are on staff at Aurora Sinai Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
