Neurology Clinic
The Neurology Clinic provides neurological care for children and includes many specialty programs and clinics. Our team of pediatric neurologists cares for children with health problems such as:
- Childhood epilepsy and seizures.
- Headaches and migraines (initial consultation).
- Movement disorders, including Tourette syndrome and muscle coordination problems.
- Metabolic diseases affecting the nervous system.
- Brain tumors.
- Neuromuscular disorders.
Children's Hospital's Pediatric Epilepsy Program provides care for children with seizure disorders. The program includes a self-contained, eight-bed Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with state-of-the-art, all-digital video-EEG equipment.
An on-site EEG lab and advanced testing techniques allow specialists to better understand how seizures may be affecting a child's language and motor function, as well as diagnose neuromuscular disorders and movement disorders, including muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy and myasthenia gravis.
