Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, along with Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, run the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program. This program, created in 2004, treats the growing population of people born with congenital heart disease living into adulthood.

The ACHD Program is the largest program of its kind in the state and one of the few adult congenital heart disease programs in the country.

Our team

The team of experts with the ACHD Program are specifically trained to care for this unique and growing population. Michael Earing, MD, Peter Bartz, MD, and Scott Cohen, MD, are three of the less than 40 physicians nationwide trained to care for adults with congenital heart disease.

Drs. Earing, Bartz and Cohen also are on staff at Froedtert & the Medical College, allowing them to span the pediatric and adult medical specialties and provide the best, most complete care.

Our surgeons are the only board certified congenital heart disease surgeons in the state of Wisconsin.
