Children's Specialty Group is governed by a board of directors that includes a representative from Children's Hospital and Health System and the Medical College of Wisconsin, the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin pediatrician-in-chief and surgeon-in-chief, and six elected physician members (three surgical and three medical).

There are 13 departments, each with a pediatric physician leader and an administrator who are responsible for overseeing the recruitment, planning and budgeting, billing and collections, and the overall performance of their individual department.

CSG is committed to providing quality multi-disciplinary pediatric care to patients and their families.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Joseph E. Kerschner, MD, is the chief executive officer for Children's Specialty Group. He also is the medical director of Otolaryngology at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He is an associate professor of Otolaryngology and chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Kerschner has served on the CSG board since 2001 and he chairs the Business Development and Marketing committee. He came to Children's Hospital in 1998 following his pediatric otolaryngology fellowship.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Pat H. Radoszewski, RN, MBA, is the chief operating officer for Children's Specialty Group. She came to CSG in February 2001 with more than 20 years of experience in health care administration. Ms. Radoszewski held various leadership positions at Children's Hospital, including the director of Ambulatory Services and director of Planning and Marketing.
She has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Prior to joining CSG she worked as a health-care consultant and held healthcare positions with Aurora Health Care, Grrant Medical Center and Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Vice Chair and Surgeon-in-Chief

Keith T. Oldham, MD, is the Marie Uihlein Chair in Pediatric Surgery and surgeon-in-chief at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and professor of Pediatric Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He came to Children's Hospital in 1998 from Duke University Medical Center where he was chief of Pediatric Surgery. Oldham is the author and editor of Surgery of Infants and Children (Scientific Principles and Practice).

Fellowships: Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery.

Special Interest: Congenital anomalies and newborn surgery, imperforate anus surgery, laparoscopic surgery, pediatric GI surgery, pediatric oncology, pediatric trauma and burns, neonatal surgery, proctectomy/endo-rectal pull through, surgical critical care, and thoracic surgery (non-cardiac)/pectus excavatum/NUSS.

Vice Chair and Pediatrician-in-Chief

Robert M. Kliegman, MD, Muma Family Chair in Pediatrics and pediatrician-in-chief at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He also is a professor and chair of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He came to Children's Hospital in 1993 from Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. Kliegman is the editor of Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics.

Surgical Members

Richard Berens, MD, is chief of the department of surgery at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He also is a professor of Pediatric (Anesthesiology Clinical) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Berens joined Children's Specialty Group in 1991 following his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship.

Charles T Durkee, MD, is a pediatric urologist at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He also is an assistant professor of Surgery (Urology) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Durkee joined Children's Specialty Group in 2001 from his private practice in Milwaukee.

George M. Hoffman, MD, is the medical director of Anesthesia at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He also is an associate professor of Anesthesiology and Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Hoffman has served on the board since its inception and he co-chairs the Finance committee. He came to Children's Hospital in 1987 following his anesthesiology fellowship.

Thomas T. Sato, MD, is a pediatric surgeon at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He is also a associate professor of Surgery (Pediatric) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Sato joined Children's Specialty Group in 1997 following his pediatric general surgery fellowship.

 Stuart Berger, MD, is the medical director of Cardiology at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) at the Medcial College of Wisconsin. Dr. Berger joined Children's Specialty Group in 1991.

Beth Ann Drolet, MD, is the medical director of Dermatology at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and associate professor of Pediatric (Dermatology Outpatient) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Drolet joined Children's Specialty Group in 1995 after her dermatology residency.

Peter L. Havens, MD, is the medical director of the HIV Primary Care Support Network at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and professor of Pediatrics (Infectious Disease) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Havens has served on the board since its inception and he co-chairs the Finance committee. He came to Children's Hospital in 1987 from Children's Hospital Medical Center, Boston, Mass. following two fellowships.

Cynthia G. Pan, MD, is the medical director of Nephrology/Renal/Dialysis at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and associate professor of Pediatric (Nephrology) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Pan joined Children's Specialty Group in 1989 following her pediatric nephrology fellowship.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Representative

Cinthia S. Christensen, RN, JD, is executive vice president and chief operating officer at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Christensen earned a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and became Director of Legal Services in 1990. She was promoted to corporate vice president and general counsel in 1996. She has also held nursing positions in the hospital's Emergency Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Unit from 1981–1983 and 1984–1986. In addition, she worked as a nurse in Ban Nam Yao refugee camp in Thailand from 1983-1984.


Medical College of Wisconsin Representative

Douglas R. Campbell is the senior vice president for Finance and Administration at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He came to the Medical College from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he was vice chancellor. Campbell earned a masters degree in health administration from the University of Colorado, Denver and his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.
