Children's Urgent Care sites are the area's only walk-in clinics just for kids. The Urgent Care clinics are open nights and weekends when regular doctors offices are closed. Appointments never are needed.

Urgent care is for illnesses or injuries that you normally would receive care for at your regular doctorÍs office. You may need urgent care for:

• Ear infections.
• Sore or strep throat.
• Colds or flu.
• Vomiting or diarrhea.
• Minor burns or cuts.
• Hives, rash or diaper rash.
• Bruises or sprains.
• Lice, scabies or ringworm.
• Drug reactions.

The emergency room is for more serious illnesses and injuries. You may need emergency care for:

• Major injuries.
• Severe pain.
• Worsening of a chronic illness or problem.
• Serious broken bones.
• Gun or knife wounds.
• Severe bleeding that will not stop.
• Sudden inability to see, move or speak.
• Choking or trouble breathing.
• Possible poisoning.
• Unconsciousness.
• Convulsions or prolonged, repeated seizures.
• Drug overdose.
