About Children's Hospital and Health System

Children's Hospital and Health System is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The 12 entities that make up the health system work to improve the lives of children everywhere through care giving, advocacy, research and education.

The members of the health system are:

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin – located near Milwaukee, is one of the leading centers for pediatric health care in the United States. The hospital provides inpatient care, including transport of critically ill or injured children and intensive care services, and more than 70 specialty outpatient clinics that care for the full range of pediatric health care needs.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley – located on the Theda Clark Medical Center campus in Neenah, Wis., operates an inpatient Pediatric Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, outpatient clinics and a Child Advocacy Center.

Children's Hospital and Health System Foundation – secures philanthropic support for the health system, including donations for patient care programs, professional and community education, advocacy for children and pediatric research.

Children's Health Education Center – offers resources and programs (field trip, outreach and online) for children, parents, teachers and caregivers to help keep children healthy and safe.

Children's Medical Group – provides a network of primary care pediatricians throughout southeastern Wisconsin and oversees the School Nursing Program and other health centers for children in Milwaukee's central city.

Children's Service Society of Wisconsin – offers child welfare services in four core areas (child and family counseling, out-of-home care, prevention services and public child welfare) from locations throughout Wisconsin.

Children's Specialty Group – a physician group practice jointly owned by the health system and the Medical College of Wisconsin, provides access to faculty physicians offering care in more than 25 pediatric medical and surgical specialty areas.

Surgicenter of Greater Milwaukee – provides the latest outpatient surgical technology and treatment for children and adults.

Children's Research Institute – advances pediatric health care practice through dedicated laboratory and clinical research.

Children's Community Health Plan – is a health maintenance organization that covers children and adults eligible for Medicaid or BadgerCare in the Wisconsin counties of Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha.

Seeger Health Resources – offers educational materials for health care professionals, teachers and parents through Maxishare and collection services through MedHealth Financial Services.

National Outcomes Center – develops strategies to measure outcomes for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and other organizations across the country.
