Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Surgicenter

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Surgicenter joined the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin family in August 2000 to help handle the ever-increasing inpatient and outpatient surgery volumes at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Since 1991, surgicenter has set the standard in outpatient surgical care for both adults and children with an emphasis on safety, convenience and concern for individual needs and comfort.

While high quality care of adults continues at surgicenter, the affiliation with Children's Hospital ensures that pediatric patients seen there receive the same child-friendly care as patients who visit Children's Hospital.

Nurses and surgical technologists have received training in the care of pediatric patients. All nurses are certified in advanced cardiac life support and have extensive operating room, intensive care unit and recovery room experience. The same pediatric anesthesiologists who practice at Children's Hospital are available to assist with pediatric surgeries at surgicenter. In addition, state-of-the-art equipment is available for all sizes of patients and all types of operations.
