Keep your children safe on their walk to school: Local elementary schools to participate in Safe Kids Southeast Wisconsin Coalition's Walk This Way event Wednesday, Oct. 3

Oct. 2, 2012 - Pedestrian injuries are the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 5 to 14. Children younger than 10 never should cross the street alone. Make sure your children follow these safety guidelines when walking to school. "Walking is an important and healthy activity, but everyone needs to do their part to keep this activity safe for kids," said Lisa Klindt Simpson, Safe Kids Southeast Wisconsin coordinator. 

Vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and those around you from flu

Sep. 28, 2012 - Children's Hospital of Wisconsin urges parents to make sure their families receive a yearly flu vaccine. An annual influenza vaccine, given in the fall, now is recommended for nearly everyone over the age of 6 months, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Hyundai Hope On Wheels™ donates $325,000 to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin to support childhood cancer research

Sep. 25, 2012 - Childhood cancer patients who have received treatment at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and their families joined Hyundai and its dealers to present Julie Talano, MD, a check for $250,000 and SamMilanovich, MD, a check for $75,000.
