I was inspired to become an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) soon after joining Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 1989. My commitment to the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding lead me to become the first board-certified lactation consultant at Children’s. The Lactation Management Team was developed over time through dedication and passion to fulfill Children's vision to have the healthiest kids in the nation.
I am very proud to have contributed to this service as The Lactation Management Team strives toward our vision to be “a national leader in lactation services recognized for personalized support in the quest of exclusive breast milk provision with exceptional outcomes through advocacy, education and research." My work takes me to prenatal visits through the Fetal Concerns Program, the NICU and many other specialty clinics. My passion is to teach and empower breastfeeding families to reach their feeding goals by using evidence-based lactation practices combined with a personal caring approach.
