Kurt E. Hecox, MD, PhD, is a pediatric neurologist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, associate professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin and member of the Children’s Specialty Group. Dr. Hecox received his medical degree and degree of philosophy from the University of California in San Diego. He then completed a pediatric neurology residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and a fellowship at University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. As a leader in pediatric epilepsy, Dr Hecox is a key leader of Children’s Pediatric Neuroscience Center. His primary objectives are to integrate the Center’s current strengths in epilepsy surgery, neuroimaging, computational science, neuropsychology and pediatric neuromonitoring. Together with other colleagues at the Center, he is focused on facilitating greater access to innovative comprehensive care and consultation services in a patient centered and service minded way.
