Treatment Foster Care and Respite Foster Care
Respite foster care
Sometimes full-time foster parents and other families need a break. That’s where respite foster care comes in. It is temporary child care provided in your home. Respite care has been proven to reduce family stress and isolation, as well as increase placement stability of a foster child, and overall foster family and child well-being. As a respite provider, you have the option to care for children according to your schedule and availability.
Treatment foster care
Treatment foster care is home-based care for children and adolescents with moderate to severe emotional, behavioral, physical or medical challenges. Treatment foster parents receive a higher level of training and support, to understand a child’s trauma history and provide nurturing care and treatment.
