Why isn't your teen sleeping?
Teenagers are in a stage of life in which they are growing and developing at a fast pace physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. To support healthy growth and development, your teen should be getting at least 9 hours of sleep each night.
But in our society, teens face more pressure than ever from school, sports teams, other extracurricular activities, and friends. Many things in your teen's life are competing with sleep.
Ongoing lack of sleep has many serious consequences, including:
