Flu shots now available
It’s important to get vaccinated as children can get seriously sick from the flu, and so can their family members. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that everyone age 6 months or older should be vaccinated against the flu each year. This year, the CDC recommends against the nasal flu vaccine because it hasn’t been effective in the past, so only flu shots will be available.
For current Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin primary care patient families, you can now schedule your child’s flu vaccine online through MyChart. Don’t have a MyChart account? Visit chw.org/mychart to create an account. Current patient families and new patient families can also schedule an appointment by calling our West Bend Pediatrics at (262) 353-4460.
