Free Mom’s Concussion Clinic to talk safety and prevention August 15

- Special guest appearances: Ahman Green, Green Bay’s all-time leading rusher; and Lindsey Kuhn, mother and Green Bay football wife.
An educational and informative opportunity for local moms whose kids are in sports.
Topics covered include: concussion prevention, signs and symptoms, safe play techniques, and safety tips for heat emergencies. A special hands-on tackling skills and drills session for the moms will round out the program.

WHERE: Waukesha West High School Campus, 3301 Saylesville Road, Waukesha, Wis.
WHY: To help reduce the risk of sports-related injuries such as concussions and heat and dehydration in young athletes, greater emphasis is being placed on learning proper tackling skills and safe play techniques. This clinic aims to provide moms with information to help their young athletes play it safe.
VISUALS: Speakers during their presentations, and moms participating in the tackling drills and skills activity.
Interviews with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin experts and guest speakers on site can be arranged. Ahman Green and Lindsey Kuhn are available for interview on site between 11:45 a.m. to noon.
