Blizzards forecast to hit Wisconsin July 30
July 27, 2015
Dairy Queen® locations serve Blizzard® Treats during 10th annual Miracle Treat Day
on Thursday, July 30 to benefit Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
To help local kids receive the care and treatments they need, participating Dairy Queen® restaurants in Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton and Green Bay will celebrate Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, July 30. Funds raised will benefit Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, 1 of 170 hospitals supported by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN Hospitals). Every minute, 62 children enter a CMN Hospital for treatment. In southeastern Wisconsin, 7 in 10 families have chosen Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for their child’s care.
Celebrating its 10th year, Miracle Treat Day raises not just funds, but also awareness for CMN Hospitals. Last summer, participating Dairy Queen® restaurants raised $88,500 for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. This year, more than 70 Dairy Queen® restaurants around the state will participate. To view a complete list of participating locations, visit chw.org/miracletreatday.
For every Blizzard® treat sold at participating locations on Miracle Treat Day, $1 or more will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. With all CMN Hospitals campaigns, donations raised stay in the community to help local kids.
“Kids are not little adults. They deserve specialized attention and care that comes from the expertise of an independent, freestanding pediatric hospital,” said Meg Brzyski Nelson, President and Chief Development Officer of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation. “Fundraising by individuals, organizations and corporate partners helps us to provide the excellent care and all the extras that make Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin unique, supportive and a comforting place for families and children.”
The featured Miracle Treat Day “Blizzard® Treat of the Day” is Oreo®, which is still the most popular Blizzard® Treat to date. The featured “Blizzard® of the Month” is the ROLO® Minis Blizzard Treat, made with ROLO® Minis, smooth caramel and blended with creamy vanilla soft serve. All other Blizzard® flavors are also available on July 30. For more information about Miracle Treat Day, visit MiracleTreatDay.com and connect on social media using #MiracleTreatDay.
