Overview

Best Doctors 2013I am passionate about caring for the patients that come to our clinic, the Downtown Health Center Pediatric Clinic. Our underserved patients have needs that are more extensive than just great medical care but include access to resources that will improve their overall health. At the Downtown Health Center Pediatric Clinic, I work with our entire team of professionals to identify needs, both medical and other, to improve the health of the children that I am privileged to serve. I value long term relationships with patients and families, including one family that I have seen for three generations. I strive to listen to patients so together we can develop a medical plan that is mutually acceptable and will alleviate disease. As part of routine health maintenance e.g., well child care, I work to identify strengths within children, teens and parents, to help them attain and maintain optimal health. Some areas that I focus on are counseling about healthy eating habits and injury prevention. Much of my expertise has come from my life experiences of a marriage lasting 41 years, raising five children and continuing to interact with my seven grandchildren. They keep me young and up to date on what is happening in our society right now. In addition, I enjoy immensely my role in teaching the next generation of doctors. They are the future providers for all of us.
