Dr. Hodges is a board-certified pediatrician with a special interest in the health care needs of children in foster care as well as child victims of abuse and neglect. She practices clinically at the Child Protection Center in Milwaukee seeing children for foster care for initial screening examinations and physical and sexual abuse evaluations.
Dr. Hodges’ research interest is improving health care delivery and health outcomes for children in foster care. She enjoys training medical students, residents and fellows at the Child Protection Center and informing them on the unique medical needs of children in foster care and child victims of abuse. She is also involved in efforts at the local, state and national level to improve health care delivery to children in foster care.
Dr. Hodges serves as the Consulting Medical Director to the State of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin joint Foster Care Medical Home Program entitled Care4Kids. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and co-chair of the Wisconsin AAP’s Foster Care Committee.
