Dr. Gurram has about 11 years of experience as a pediatrician, he is board certified pediatrics, and a fellowship trained pediatric gastroenterologist. He has a special interest in managing patients with inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic gastroenteritis, immune mediated enteropathies, eosinophilic esophagitis, failure to thrive, malabsorption syndromes and chronic diarrheal illness.
Dr. Gurram is interested in research to better define the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease, natural course of inflammatory bowel disease, designing personalized treatment plan, as well as improving management of children with inflammatory bowel disease. He enjoys working with residents and medical students to help them learn how to optimally care for the child and family. Dr. Gurram is a strong advocate for patients and families, and works with the child's pediatrician and parents to provide the best and most informed care possible.
