Dr. Brosig Soto is a licensed clinical psychologist, with specialty training in pediatric psychology. She has extensive experience in working with children affected by chronic illness. Her particular interest is in working with children with congenital heart disease, heart transplants, or other cardiac conditions. Dr. Brosig Soto has a family-centered approach, and addresses the psychosocial needs of patients, parents, and siblings. Dr. Brosig Soto recognizes that a chronic health condition impacts the entire family. She collaborates with families, schools, pediatricians and other members of the child’s health care team to held advocate for what her patient’s need.
Dr. Brosig Soto is interested in research that studies the neurodevelopmental and psychosocial outcomes of children with congenital heart disease. Her research seeks to understand risk factors for developmental problems, with the goal of helping patients to achieve their optimal potential and best quality of life.
