At Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, we want your experience to be as pleasant as possible. We offer a variety of services to help ease the stress and anxiety a hospital stay may cause you and your family.

Milwaukee hospital

Ask our Welcome Center staff for more information about dining options available for patient families and visitors. 

At Children's Hospital, we want our kids to be the healthiest in the nation. To help achieve this goal, we encourage patients, their families and our staff to make healthy food choices. We offer a discount on specially marked healthy food items.

Vending machines

Vending machines are located throughout the building.

2, 4, 6, 8! parent meal program

Children’s Hospital understands caring for a child in the hospital can be hard. We encourage parents and caregivers to take a break and eat a meal at any of our dining areas. If you can't leave your child’s room, we have the 2, 4, 6, 8! parent meal program available. Parents or caregivers can buy room service meal tickets in the amount of $2 at our retail food locations and the Gift Shop. Tickets can be used to buy snacks and meals from room service. Tickets are non-refundable. Credit card orders can be taken as well.

ATMs at the hospital

Parents may buy food and other items at Children's Hospital. Automated teller machines (ATMs) are located in the hospital lobby and off the skywalk connecting Children’s Clinics Building to the hospital.

Fox Valley Hospital

Theda Clark Medical Center has a full-service cafeteria located on the lower level. Hours are:

  • Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
  • Light breakfast: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Vending machines are located on the lower level and first level of the west pavilion. Soda machines are located on the third floor in the NICU networking room and throughout the hospital.

A coffee shop is located on the first floor off the central hall near the gift shop and Emergency Department.

Parents may bring food or drinks from home. A small refrigerator is available in the main lobby area off the elevators on the third floor.

After regular food service hours are over, snacks, sandwiches and drinks are available in our pantry.
