Instructions to care for your child after a hospital stay might include information on medicine, special foods, treatments, activities and follow-up appointments. If you need help when your child is discharged from the hospital, talk to his or her nurse. The care provider can set up a meeting with a social worker or inpatient case manager.
Understanding your bill
For your convenience, financial counselors are available to assist with all hospital billing concerns or to discuss financial assistance and payment plans. Ask your child's care provider if you wish to speak to a financial counselor or call (414) 266-6200.
Keeping your child safe in the car
All children 12 years old and younger should ride in the back seat of the car. Children younger than 8 should be in a car seat or booster seat made for their age and weight.
If you have questions about car seats or booster seats, ask your child's care provider to contact the injury prevention educator at Children's Hospital or make an appointment with the Car Seat Clinic by calling (877) 607-5280.
