Research and quality at Children’s
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is a national leader in feeding, swallowing and nutrition disorder research, with a long history at the forefront of improving quality outcomes for children. We are currently involved in a number of research initiatives including:
Retrospective review of 127 children who were admitted to our inpatient program. We looked at the nutritional effects of appetite manipulation. This study was presented at the 2013 North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) meeting.
We are in the process of writing protocols to be used in our “Research Clinic” to standardize the assessment and treatment of children with Feeding Disorders.
