Plan a community fundraiser
Each year, many of our generous friends and partners hold fundraisers of their own, raising more than $1 million to support Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. It is because of our compassionate community of supporters that we can continue to give kids the best care every single day. If you would like to plan an event to support Children’s, our Foundation team is here to help you with any questions you have during the planning and approval stage of your event.
There are endless options for you to choose from to plan a community fundraising event. Here are a few ideas to help you get started:
Adults: Host a golf (or other sport) tournament, a party or dinner and ask guests to pay a fee or make a donation to participate. If you are running a marathon or participating in a run/walk event, you can raise pledges from friends and family.
Kids and schools: Bake/food sales are easy to organize by themselves or in tandem with another event to raise proceeds. You could also organize a car wash, yard sale, or lemonade stand to raise funds.
Businesses: Host a jeans day for employees and charge a small fee for participating. You can also sell Children’s Miracle Network balloons or place coin collection canisters in visible locations to encourage donations from customers.
Propose your event
Once you have an idea for hosting a fundraising event on behalf of Children’s, send us some information about your event and our foundation staff will contact you. Events benefiting Children’s need to be pre-approved by our foundation.
Fundraise on Facebook
You can easily promote your fundraising event online by setting up a fundraising page on Facebook. This tool gives you a way to accept donations from your network of friends and family to help you raise money for Children's. All you need to do is set up your fundraising page and share it with your network!
