Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics and Integrity

MILWAUKEE (10/15/2008) - At a ceremony held Oct. 15 in Milwaukee, Children's Hospital and Health System was named the winner of the 2008 Wisconsin Better Business Bureau Torch Award in the large charity category. Businesses and organizations were judged on submissions that showed excellence in ethical practices, service, reputation, honest advertising, peer recognition, management practices and employee training.

The health system's award nomination highlighted examples of Blue Kids way service excellence, business code of conduct and compliance policies, vendor relationships and guidelines, innovative training, hiring and retention practices and our reputation as a local and national leader in children's health care.

Winners were selected by an independent panel of experts in business ethics.

Fifteen Wisconsin businesses and non-profit organizations were honored as finalists, and six were named winners.
