The Dermatology-Oncology Clinic at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin offers diagnosis and treatment of spitz nevi and other complicated cases, including cancers. The clinic treats patients from 1 to 25 years of age. We offer:

An interdisciplinary team which combines the expertise of nationally respected pediatric dermatologists, oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, psychologists and other specialists from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Cutting edge research. Valerie Lyon, MD, who specializes in skin surgery in children, is leader of a multi-institutional research project on pigmented lesions as well as her own research on outcomes related to skin procedures in children.

Conditions treated in the Dermatology-Oncology clinic include but are not limited to:
- Spitz nevus (juvenile melanoma, spindle and epithelioid cell nevus of Reed).
- Melanoma.
- Langerhans cell histiocytosis with skin involvement.
- Basal cell or squamous cell skin cancer.
- Outpatient transplant patients needing skin follow-up.
Ongoing care can be coordinated with patient's primary or specialty provider.
