Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the BloodCenter of Wisconsin worked together to form the Comprehensive Center for Bleeding Disorders which serves children and adults throughout Wisconsin, upper Michigan and northern Illinois. The center provides a variety of services, including diagnostic and specialized tests, physician consultation, ongoing medical management and genetic counseling.

The Comprehensive Center for Bleeding Disorders team actively follows more than 200 hemophilia patients, and more than 1,500 patients with von Willebrand disease, platelet function defects, and other rare coagulation problems. More than 1,000 patients with clotting disorders also are followed through this clinic.

We provide an integrated approach to the diagnosis and management of these disorders. The team consists of hematologists, hemophilia and coagulation nurse coordinators, a medical financial counselor, social worker, genetics associate and a clinical research coordinator.
