Mobile Play and Learn
Available in Dane County, Mobile Play and Learn is a play group on wheels. The Play and Learn truck visits neighborhoods and offers three-hour playgroups for parents or caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Playing together is shown to help children build early math, literacy, physical and social skills.
Every week, parents learn valuable tips and activities that help their child learn and grow.
- Children and caregivers enter and spend time exploring and playing (free play time).
- Children and caregivers clean up the
 classroom (clean up time).
- Everyone gathers for a circle time with songs and stories (circle time).
- Everyone washes hands and eats a light snack (snack time).
- Optional participation in Art/Craft activity (activity time).
- Time to play with various activities--puzzles, beading etc (table play time).
- Gather for singing, dancing and goodbye song to wrap up the session (goodbye circle time).
- Children have time to read with their caregivers before leaving (reading time).
