What we're doing to provide the best care:
- Our physicians see children in the Pulmonary Clinic and Sleep Center at two locations: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin New Berlin Clinic. This allows families to have a greater selection in clinic times and locations.
- Performing pulmonary function tests for children can be challenging; obtaining accurate results is even more difficult. Our credentialed pulmonary function technologists are licensed respiratory care practitioners who are experts in providing testing services for children.
- A pediatric pulmonologist interprets the pulmonary function tests. Results are faxed to the ordering physician within two to three business days. Urgent results usually can be provided the same day.
- Bronchoscopies are performed by physicians trained in pediatric pulmonary problems.
- Our pediatric pulmonary specialists are part of a multidisciplinary program called the Airway, Digestive and Voice Center to care for children with complex aerodigestive abnormalities that impact breathing, voice, swallowing and feeding.
- Our sleep technologists are all Wisconsin state-licensed respiratory care practitioners and/or registered polysomnography technicians, so they are able to care for medically complex children. Physicians interpreting the sleep studies all are board certified in sleep medicine.
Patients and families:

- Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so we can gather needed information from you before you see the doctor.
Referring physicians:
- Referring physicians can access our specialists for consultation or transport 24 hours a day. Call our physician referral line at (800) 266-0366.
- Health care providers from outside of our southeastern Wisconsin service area are encouraged to use our web-based
e-Consult service. This service is available for non-urgent patient cases only and gives providers access to our specialists to review patient cases, obtain medical advice or second opinions, and receive care recommendations for rare symptoms and illnesses.
