Community programs
The Fox Valley Child Advocacy Center provides a safe place for children who may have been neglected or abused. The goal of the center is to protect children from abuse and provide resources to help them heal.
Children's Health Education Center offers resources and programs for children, parents, teachers and caregivers to help keep kids and teens healthy and safe.
Awareness to Action is a program focused on preventing child sexual abuse by helping adults and communities take action to protect children through awareness, education, advocacy and action. The program is implemented locally through the Sexual Assault Crisis Center in Appleton, Wis.
The Fox Valley Children's Mental Health Center offers diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of mental health disorders to children and adolescents up to age 18. The center is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between Affinity Health System, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and ThedaCare.
The Northeast Regional Center is part of a statewide network that is available to help answer questions about your child's special health care needs.
The purpose of the Wisconsin Statewide Medical Home Inititive is to promote the "medical home" concept of care to primary care providers, families and service providers throughout Wisconsin. Medical home is a family-centered, team approach to primary health care. Training, technical assistance and resources will be provided to help implement medical home. Two focuses of this project will be early identification of children with special health care needs and coordination of care and services.
