The Transport and Physician Referral Services Team
About our team
The Transport Team has 34 nurses and respiratory therapists. Two teams, each consisting of a registered nurse and a respiratory therapist, are available for transports at all times. A critical care doctor also is available for transport, as needed.
Each respiratory therapist has at least three years critical care experience in a neonatal, pediatric or adult setting. The team's nurses must have at least five years of pediatric or neonatal, critical care or emergency room nursing experience.
Certifications
The transport team is certified in BLS, PALS and NRP. Many team members also hold STABLE, PEPP, ACLS, ATLS, TNCC and TNS certifications. All of the team's respiratory therapists have EMT-B licensure. Some have pursued EMT-I and paramedic licensure.
