The Transport and Physician Referral Services Team

The Transport Team is comprised of both registered nurses and respiratory care practitioners.  The team is fully prepared to handle the wide range of medical/surgical needs a patient may have during the transport.   Physicians trained in neonatal or pediatric critical care accompany the team as the patient's condition warrants. 

Each team member is specifically trained in neonatal and pediatric intensive care, emergency and transport medicine, flight physiology and trauma.  Additional team competencies include needle thoracentesis, intubation and advanced airway management, intraosseous placement, arterial blood sampling and advanced IV skills.

Team Certifications

Each transport team member is certified in BLS, PALS and NRP.  Many team members also hold STABLE, PEPP, ACLS, ATLS, TNCC and TNS certifications.  All of the team's RCP's also have, at minimum, EMT-B licensure.
