    Hours
    8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend times are available by appointment.

    Our staff
    Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services therapists have extensive experience working with children, parents and families, including those involved in the child welfare system. 

    Melissa A. Gutierrez, MS, LPC, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She has 10 years of experience working with female adolescents and their families. Melissa specializes in providing individual and group counseling to children 10-17 who have been victims of emotional, sexual, and physical abuse. She also has worked with girls who have been part of the juvenile justice system and has a lot of experience teaching those clients how to balance taking responsibility for their actions, learning how to control their thoughts and feelings, as well as addressing the significant experiences and/or trauma in their lives. Melissa uses a client-centered approach to build rapport with her clients and families and then builds her treatment plan based on the client's needs.

    Mickey Kucak, LCSW, MSW, ACSW, is a graduate of the University of WisconsinMilwaukee. She has provided therapeutic services to children and families of all ages in a wide range of agencies, from the State of Wisconsin to private practice, which include inpatient and outpatient hospital care. Mickey believes that it is important to address all the aspects of a child's life; school, peers, extended family etc. Her most recent interest is brain development and the impact of trauma on brain and behavioral functioning. Mickey has over 30 years experience working with children and families. She wants her clients to be comfortable and feel safe while working through issues.

    Val J. Lura, MS, LPC, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Counseling Program. She is a a licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin and Illinois. Val has extensive experience working with children and families in the child welfare system. She specializes in providing individual and group counseling to children ages 3-18 who have been subjected to emotional, sexual and physical abuse. Val has experience working with families through the adoption process and with those children who are being reunified with their biological families.

    Katelin Murphy, MS, LPC, ATR, received her bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University and her masters from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. She has a specialty in Art Therapy and is a registered Art Therapist. Katelin has worked with children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral problems while they resided in group home and residential treatment settings.  She has worked for two years in Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services' intensive in-home program in the Racine office as a therapist assistant.

    Mary M. Weber, LCSW, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has worked as a Child and Family Therapist for 18 years at Children's Service Society. She specializes in working with children ages 2-18. She provides outpatient psychotherapy with an emphasis on client-centered therapy, as well as behavior modification and cognitive processes. She works with children presenting with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, adjustment difficulties, attachment issues, sexual abuse and trauma. Mary uses a strong, supportive and respectful approach when working with children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds.

    Ann Rolling, PhD, LPC, graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. She has worked as a therapist in the Racine office for more than six years. She has been the area manager in the Racine office since 2007. Ann completed her pre-doctoral internship at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Kalamazoo, Mich. She has experience working with many of the mental health issues that result from child maltreatment, including depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, anger control problems and adjustment issues. While in graduate school she completed a two-year practicum at the Child Protection Center in Milwaukee. Ann also completed a practicum at Froedtert Hospital in the Child Neuropsychology department.
