Speak Now For Kids

Wisconsin's Children's Advocacy Network is the Children's Hospital and Health System's advocacy network. Through advocacy, we can help ensure and improve the health and well-being of all children and families.

Hear from Peggy Troy, President and CEO of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, to learn more about advocating for kids:

What are the qualifications for a C.A.N. member?

  • You are interested in improving the health and well-being of children and families by positively impacting public policy in a way that is sensitive to the needs of children.
  • You are willing to contribute by communicating with local, state and federal lawmakers about issued that are important to children and families.

Register now and help give kids the voice they deserve!

By joining C.A.N., you'll receive updates on our activities, learn about opportunities to contact your legislator or be asked to participate in community events. We will provide you with an advocacy toolkit so you have everything you need to start advocating on behalf of children.

Stay up-to-date on community programs from the health system and learn more about what is being done to help children and families in our community.

Did you know?

  • It takes less than 10 individual letters to get an elected official's attention on a particular issue.
  • State legislators say it takes only a handful of phone calls to get their attention.
  • On average, you need only five to eight legislators backing your issue to pass a bill out of a committee or defeat it.

Think of the difference a single phone call or letter really can make! Sign up for C.A.N.!
