Children's Service Society celebrates National Adoption Day

On Friday, Nov. 21, 17 children became part of forever families at National Adoption Day held at Milwaukee County Children's Court Center. Children's Service Society of Wisconsin, Milwaukee County Children's Court Judiciary and the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare hosted the event that included formal adoption hearings and a brief program with speeches by adoptive families and Kenneth Munson, CEO and president of CSSW.

National Adoption Day, part of November's National Adoption Month, raises awareness for the importance of finding permanent, loving homes for children. Since 2001, CSSW has helped close to 3,100 children find permanent adoptive homes. This year alone, more than 200 CSSW adoptions have been completed.
