KinderReady

KinderReady is a program  for parents in the Madison Metropolitan School District. The program helps parents learn how to promote their children's healthy development so they are ready for school. Services are available in Spanish and English and are free of charge. Programs include:

  • Parents as Teachers. Home visitors meet with families in their homes
    to teach child development skills,
    enhance parent/child
    communication and strengthen
    the parent/child relationship.

  • Incredible Years. This parenting group for families with children between 2 and 5 years old helps parents learn new parenting skills that may improve their child's behavior.

  • KinderPlay. Bilingual parent and child playgroups teach families how play can help children learn and grow.

KinderReady is a collaboration between the United Way of Dane County, the Madison Metropolitan School District, Dane County Department of Human Services, Family Enhancement, CUNA Mutual Foundation and Children's Service Society of Wisconsin. For more information on KinderReady, call (608) 442-4170.
