11th annual Evidence-based Practice Conference

Translating Research into Best Practice with Vulnerable Populations: The Role of Technology in Advancing Evidence-based Care

Consider which of the following four areas of specialty you will submit your abstract:

  • Acute and critical care.
  • Aging and primary care.
  • Children, teens and families.
  • Evidence-based practice implementation, such as projects that focus on getting evidence into practice and education, can be focused on an organizational change (such as a hospital, primary care practice, academic agency), or an organizational unit (such as a patient unit, course or class).

Consider which of the following three categories best fits your abstract:

  • Moving Evidence to Action. Examples include completed evidence implementation or evidence-based outcomes management/quality improvement projects, pre-post outcome evaluation of applying evidence to practice is required. For primary research studies, use the Evidence to Guide Practice category
  • Evidence to Guide Practice (select a subcategory):
  • Evidence to Guide Practice: Primary Research (such as generation of external evidence: primary research studies that inform practice.)
  • Evidence to Guide Practice: Evidence Review (such as evidence syntheses that have clear recommendations for practice.)
  • Evidence to Guide Practice: Clinical Practice Guidelines (such as development and testing of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.)
  • Consider which of the following presentation formats your abstract best fits:

  • Poster.
  • Podium.
  • Symposium.
  • Sponsored by the Center for Advancement of Evidence-based Practice, the Academy for Continuing Education and Arizona State University.

    Inspiring Collaboration in Research

    Soliciting abstracts for 20-minute paper and/or poster presentations in the following topic areas:

    • Pain.
    • Quality of life.
    • Interventions and outcomes in children's mental health.
    • Intersection of mental and physical health.
    • Children's environmental health sciences.
    • Other pediatric behavioral research.

    Submissions may describe completed research, projects that are ongoing or projects that are in development. Priority will be given to interdisciplinary projects.

    Share your expertise gained through research and clinical practice. The goal of the 2010 convention is to share science and find solutions promoting excellence in the care of women and newborns. Participants will:

    • Identify strategies for optimizing communication among health care stakeholders.
    • Explore innovations to measure and improve outcomes.
    • Translate research to implement evidence into practice.
