Computed tomography service receives accreditation
The Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Radiology Department computed tomography service has received accreditation from the American College of Radiology.
This accreditation demonstrates commitment to quality care and patient safety that meets or exceeds national standards. In seeking accreditation, Children's Hospital voluntarily underwent a rigorous evaluation of personnel qualifications, equipment performance, effectiveness of quality control measures and the quality of clinical images.
The nuclear medicine service at Children's Hospital also is accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Children's Hospital has one of the nation's leading radiology programs for children. The department's expertise, advanced technology and commitment to teaching and research have helped lead to dramatic advances in diagnostic imaging.
All images are read by pediatric radiologists, physicians who are board certified in pediatric radiology and have devoted their careers to working exclusively with children.
