The Histology Core is designed to provide histology services for a fee that matches our costs without profit. The core's mission is to facilitate investigator initiated research among faculty at related institutions. Other investigators also may be eligible for core access at the discretion of the director.
Invoices are generated monthly. It is expected that all invoices be paid within 30 days. All users of the core will be individually invoiced and will be expected to pay.
In general, all work orders submitted to the core will be prioritized on a first in, first out basis. Therefore, we encourage people to plan well in advance for completion of the work. We give each investigator an estimated time to completion. When samples are ready for pickup, we call the contact person for that laboratory for pick up at his or her convenience.
