Nursing research
The goal of nursing research at Children's Hospital and Health System is to promote an evidence-based model of research to provide the best pediatric care. Multiple programs of research are being built in the nursing research program at Children's Hospital and Health System. Evidence-based practice, where staff critique and analyze evidence to implement changes, is enhanced in the nurses' skills through activities and practice. Studies regarding pain, quality of life, coping skills, family readiness and sedation protocols are just a few of the topics being investigated to improve the care of children.
