Preventive Cardiology Clinic
The Preventive Cardiology Clinic is part of the Herma Heart Center at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and focuses on preventing acquired heart disease in children and adolescents.
We diagnose and treat the following:
- High blood pressure.
- Elevated cholesterol.
- Children with a family history of early coronary artery disease.
The main focus of the clinic is on creating a healthy lifestyle for the whole family. There is a strong emphasis on nutrition and activity.
Patients are followed closely with appointments every three to six months and telephone calls between appointments.
