We offer a two-year accredited Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation fellowship based at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The 296-bed hospital has a Level 1 trauma center and is a major teaching affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. The fellowship program provides access to more than 70 subspecialty clinics and is dedicated to research, teaching and clinical excellence. The fellowship is affiliated with the PM&R department's residency program.
Curriculum overview Our rotations include 1/3 inpatient, 2/3 outpatient and dedicated research time. They are tailored to fit the needs and interests of the fellow, and his or her anticipated future practice.
Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinics Our outpatient clinics are both single service and multidisciplinary and provide exposure to a wide variety of diagnosis, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds and levels of disability. These include:
In addition, the Tone Management and Mobility Program, directed by PM&R, provides comprehensive spasticity management through the Cerebral Palsy Clinic, Spasticity Clinic and procedural clinics/block operating room time.
Procedures training Fellows will receive training in:
- Baclofen pump.
- Botulinum toxin.
- EMG.
- Gait lab.
- Phenol.
- Rhizotomy.

Our inpatient service provides consultation for a wide variety of trauma, orthopedic and special needs patients, and directs rehabilitation care and team meetings. We cover call in coordination with a primary hospitalist service.
