Our staff is very conscientious of their responsibilities to children and their families during every step of the research process. Research Team MembersJennifer Niskala Apps, PhD, is a pediatric neuropsychologist at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. She also is an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her research interests include pediatric bipolar disorders and psychosis. Matthew D. Jandrisevits, PhD, is a psychology fellow at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. His clinical and research interests include pediatric bipolar disorder, behavioral medicine, health psychology and conversion disorder. Richard P. Barthel, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He also is an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Jennifer Winkler, CPNP, is a nurse practitioner with the Medical College of Wisconsin. Jeffrey Crawford, BS, is a certified clinical research coordinator at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He coordinates several of the psychiatry clinical trials. Margaret Karl is the senior administrative assistant for the Research Section of the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She assists with patient scheduling. Nicole McDonald is the administrative assistant II for the Research Section of the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She assists with patient scheduling, insurance verification, the intake screen line and events.
