Family resource centers
Children's Service Society of Wisconsin's family resource centers are a place where parents learn to be the best parents that they can be. These centers are cooperative efforts in which many community agencies work together to provide all families with informational resources and support.
At our family resource centers, we help parents build on their strengths as a family by providing them with the information they need to make good parenting decisions. Family resource centers are dedicated to providing the education and resources parents need to build a healthy family relationship.
Parents who participate in family resource center activities will:
- Learn how to manage their children's behavior.
- Improve family relationships.
- Learn to talk with their children.
- Develop stress management skills.
- Learn what to expect as their children grow.
- Have opportunities to share ideas with other parents.
Family Resource Centers offer on-going support groups, parent education classes and workshops, resource libraries, family visitors, volunteer opportunities, one-on-one consultations, telephone help lines and more. All family resource center activities are provided to parents free of charge.
