Child and Family Counseling
Children's Service Society of Wisconsin's counseling programs are based on the premise that a child lives within a family and a family lives within a community. Working with the child only and ignoring other sectors in which he or she must function is not sufficient to bring lasting change. Children's Service Society deals with the big picture while working with children and families to address problems and resolve social and emotional difficulties. Counseling programs also aim to reduce stress and conflict, enhance parenting skills and strengthen family ties.
We all want what is best for the children of our communities, including access to quality mental health services. At Children's Service Society, our therapists are experts in treating children and adolescents ages 3 through 17 years with a wide array of behavioral and emotional issues.
Our staff
All of our therapists are master's degree educated and are licensed by the state of Wisconsin to provide psychotherapy services. Each is trained in multiple treatment approaches so the model used can best meet the needs of each child and family we see. In our work with children, our therapists look to build on the strengths already present in a family to address the problems that bring the child and family into service.
