Pediatric Unit

Infants, children and teenagers with a wide range of illnesses and injuries receive the high-quality care they need and personalized attention they deserve in our 20-bed Pediatric Unit. Highly experienced physicians and nurses who know and enjoy children are complemented by the expertise of some of the best pediatric subspecialists in the region. While not all are on-site, they are readily available to consult on and care for children as their condition requires.

Putting an unsettled or frightened child at ease is a primary concern. Patient rooms emphasize healing colors and comfort, with sofa beds to accommodate family members who wish to stay with the child. A nearby playroom promotes healing and recovery by providing entertainment for children who are feeling better and their siblings. Older children may enjoy movies, video games and books.

In partnership with primary care physicians, our Hospitalist Program matches individual patients in the Pediatric Unit with an in-house physician who oversees the child's care while he or she is in the hospital.
