As the only local hospital dedicated exclusively to the care of children, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is a strong community partner.
We go beyond patient care, demonstrating our commitment to improving children's health through local initiatives, including:
- Children's Health Education Center provides classes on health and wellness topics to thousands of schoolchildren in the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas every year. CHEC also offers free parent education classes on a wide range of timely issues.
- Committed to Kids, a program created to help children and their families control weight and lead healthier lifestyles.
- Child protection services through the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley Child Advocacy Center. Established in 2004, the center identifies and cares for children who are suspected to be victims of abuse or neglect.
- Outreach education to family physicians, pediatricians and other health care providers in the Fox Valley.
Children's Hospital-Fox Valley also provides financial support to a wide variety of community organizations and events, including:
- March of Dimes.
- YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
- YMCA Healthy Kids Day.
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
- Fox Cities Health Fair.
- Fox Cities Youth Expo.
- Activate Fox Cities.
- NAMI Walks (for the Mind of America).
- And more.
Many of our staff members take their commitment a step further, choosing to share their pediatric expertise in the community on a voluntary basis.
