Nominate your child for Children's Champions

We invite families to share stories about their experiences at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Kenosha.

Your story could give hope to other families or inspire donor or volunteer support that makes possible the state-of-the-art care Children's Hospital provides. With your permission, we may use your story in one of our hospital's publications, or share it with a newspaper, television or radio station.

Children's Champions also provides families with opportunities to be involved in special events in communities throughout the region. All families who send in their stories will be invited to participate in Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital, held in Milwaukee in September. We will contact you occasionally to tell you about other events in your community. You can choose what you'd like to participate in, and no information will be shared about you or your child without your specific permission.

Nominating your child is easy. Just click the link at the bottom of the page and send us an e-mail. Be sure to:

1. Tell us your story! Write as much as you'd like. Tell us about your child and the care and treatment your child received. If you'd like to recognize certain staff members who went the extra mile for your family, be sure to include them in your story. Please be aware that to ensure privacy, we can accept stories and photos only from a child's parent or legal guardian.

2. Attach a photo or two of your child. We prefer high-resolution photo files.

3. Include your child's full name, your full name, mailing address and daytime phone number.

4. Tell us what types of activities your family may be interested in participating in. These could include:

• Being interviewed for one of our publications, or a newspaper, radio or TV story.
• Volunteering for events in your community.
• Speaking to an audience about your experience at Children's Hospital.
• Telling your story on the radio during one of our radiothons.
• Receiving information about upcoming events through our e-mail newsletter. Your family may enjoy attending these fun events.
