Each newsletter addresses a theme. The newsletter is published quarterly and is free. Woodbine House - www.woodbinehouse.com - This publishing house specializes in resources related to children with special needs. Good collection of books for parents and professionals on Down syndrome. 1-800-843-7323.

Brookes Publishing - www.brookespublishing.com - offers quality resources on child development, education and disabilities. Many of the resources, although not specific to Down syndrome, nevertheless are relevant.

James Stanfield Company - www.Stanfield.com - this company develops and sells curricula that include videos and educational materials for challenged and at risk students. Subject areas are focused around School to Work, Social and Life Skills, Sexuality Education and Relationships, and Conflict Resolution skills.

Len Leshin Web site - Len Leshin, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician and father of two, one whom has Down syndrome. His Web site is very comprehensive and includes specific health and medical information.

The Down Syndrome Quarterly - The Down Syndrome Quarterly, is an interdisciplinary journal on Down syndrome. The site lists a table of contents from past journals and posts position papers on Vitamins and DS, Growth Hormone Treatment, as well as Health Care Guidelines, that can be accessed by non-subscribers. David Smith, MD, medical director of the Down Syndrome Clinic of Wisconsin, edits the abstracts in this publication.

National Down Syndrome Society - The National Down Syndrome Society site includes a clinical information section written by well-known and respected health professionals. Health and medical information includes The Heart and DS, Endocrine Conditions in DS (thyroid), Alzheimer's Disease and Sexuality in DS. The site also provides a general information section for parents and professionals.

Down syndrome list serv - This site provides a compilation of contributions from experienced professionals and parents who are subscribers to the Down Syndrome listserv. Of particular interest is the Medical Articles section that provides information on Menstrual Management, Genetics, and Tips for Family Physicians on working with families who have children with DS.

Growth charts - Down syndrome growth charts are available at this site.

Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin - The Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin (DSAW) was created in 1990 in order to support families and individuals with Down syndrome. Their web site offers a calendar of local events for families, an online newsletter, and other links to national DS organizations.
